Scarlets can confirm that following their weekly COVID-19 screening programme, a development player has returned a positive test.
As per Public Health Wales guidelines, the individual is currently isolating.
No members of the Scarlets playing or backroom staff have been identified as needing to isolate as part of the contact tracing protocols in place.
The individual was not part of the Scarlets’ match-day squad for last Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 match against Munster and preparations for this Sunday’s round two match against Glasgow Warriors have not been affected as we continue to diligently adhere to our COVID-19 procedures.
