Unfortunately, due to unpredictable Welsh weather, the Scarlets U18 Ladies’ previous fixture was cancelled last week as the grounds in Pontypridd we’re unplayable. After their break last Sunday they are back on the ball game this week as they head over to Ystrad Mynach to face Blues Ladies, KO 14:30.
Daryl Morgan, Scarlets Ladies Head Coach, commenting on Sunday’s upcoming match said; "We're really excited to finally get the defence of the regional Under 18s championship off the ground after last weekend's postponement. With last season's championship coming down to a winner takes all clash on the final day against the Blues, Sunday promises to be a really tough challenge for the squad, but it a challenge we're more than ready for.
The whole squad have prepared really strongly for the game and it was without a doubt one of the hardest selections I've had to make, everyone put their hands up in training this week. Ultimately we went with a pretty experienced team. That said there are two players making their championship debuts in the starting XV on Sunday, blindside flanker Finley Jones and outside centre, Ellie Tromans. Both are incredibly talented and have made a massive impression in the programme so far. They thoroughly deserve their places."
There are another 3 set to make their championship debuts on the bench; hooker Bethan Smith and prop Ellie Rose Millar in the forwards and replacement outside half, Ceulyn Davies in the backs.”
