Festive Cheer At Glangwilli

Natalie Jones News

A number of the Scarlets’ squad visited Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen to spread some Christmas cheer ahead of Saturday’s European Rugby Champions Cup clash against Benetton Rugby.

The players went along to Cligerran Children’s Ward at Glangwili General yesterday, Tuesday 12th December, to bring festive joy to the children who are suffering from illness over Christmas.

Their afternoon visit saw them move from bed to bed visiting patients from across the region, hand out a Christmas gift, sign autographs as well as posing for photographs.

The visits, which have become an annual event in the region’s calendar, are an opportunity for the players to give something back to the region.

Whilst on the ward Aaron Shingler, Wyn Jones, Emyr Phillips, Dylan Evans and Josh Macleod visited the children on the ward and chatted with staff about their workload over Christmas.

The Scarlets would like to thank all the staff at Cilgerran Ward, Glangwili General Hospital for their warm welcome and a speedy recovery to all of the patients.
