Scarlets stars Ken Owens and Jonathan Davies are to be honoured by the Gorsedd of Bards at this year’s National Eisteddfod.
The honours, presented annually, recognise individuals from all parts of the country for their achievements and their commitment to Wales, the Welsh language and to their local communities.
The Wales pair, who played key roles in the Six Nations Grand Slam-winning campaign, will be honoured at a special ceremony on the Eisteddfod Maes in Llanwrst, Conwy County.
The Eisteddfod runs from August 3-10.
Ken and Jon are to be honoured with blue robes and will become honorary druids along with others who have succeeded in the fields of law, science, sport, journalism, media, local and national activities.
The gorsedd also honours new members with green robes for their contribution to the arts
