Scarlets make just one enforced change to their starting line-up for Saturday’s Judgement Day date with the Dragons at the Principality Stadium (3pm).

Second row Lewis Rawlins is ruled out because of a shoulder injury so Josh Helps gets the nod in the second row.

There is also a welcome return to the match-day squad for back-rower Blade Thomson, who hasn’t played since early November because of concussion issues.

Thomson is named on the bench alongside David Bulbring, who makes his comeback from injury in the only other change to the 23 following the 42-0 victory over Zebre last time out.

Leigh Halfpenny, Johnny McNicholl and Ioan Nicholas continue in the back three, Jonathan Davies links up with international colleague Hadleigh Parkes in midfield, while Dan Jones partners Gareth Davies at half-back.

In the absence of the injured Rob Evans, Wyn Jones again starts at loose-head, alongside fellow internationals Ken Owens and Samson Lee.

Helps partners Steve Cummins at lock, while Will Boyde, Josh Macleod and Uzair Cassiem combine in the back row.

Scarlets sit in fifth spot in the Guinness PRO14 Conference B table, a point behind fourth-placed Edinburgh and two adrift of third-placed Benetton.

Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac said: “There is still a lot to play for. It’s an opportunity to get four or five points if we play well enough. Mathematically that could still keep our season alive.

“We’ve had a very disrupted season so we want to finish on a high note. We still have an opportunity to finish third and possibly fourth which would give us a play-off for the Champions Cup.”

Pivac added: “The Principality Stadium is one of the best stadiums in world rugby to play in and we have a handful of international players who have great memories of playing on that pitch.

“Facing the Dragons is obviously a derby match and it gives our squad the chance to play against other Welsh players – some of whom are fighting for positions in what is a World Cup year.

“We expect the same from the Dragons as what we’ve encountered in the last few years at Judgement Day. They’re a team that make it really hard for us.”
