Scarlets enjoyed another fantastic sun-soaked week at the Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd, welcoming thousands of visitors across the four days.
The Scarlets stand proved as popular as ever, as supporters of all ages popped in to speak to the community team, take on the passing cage challenge, buy some club merchandise from our kit partners VX3 and have a selfie with Cochyn.
On the final day on Thursday, the Community team were joined by players Tomi Lewis, Josh Morse, Kai Jones and Sion Jones, as well as our Academy Pathway Manager, former Wales international hooker Emyr Phillips, who put on a couple of fun skills sessions for the youngsters.
Earlier in the week, loose-head prop Josh and Academy second row Kai were actually competing in the Show categories – Josh showing his Wiltshire Horn Sheep and Kai in the Cattle section – and to cap a busy week for the boys, the players also paid a visit to some of our commercial partners such as JCP Solicitors, Tegfan Plant and Machinery, Blas y Tir, Dragon Cheese, Cwmfarm and Vaughan Construction.
Scarlets Community Foundation Manager Paul Fisher said: “The Royal Welsh Show is always one of the highlights of our calendar and this year’s event was another outstanding success. The weather was glorious all week and it was fantastic to see so many people joining in the fun at our Scarlets stand and taking part in our rugby skills sessions.
“We’d like to thank everyone who came to see us, as well as the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society for once again putting on such a fantastic event. We look forward to being back next year.”
