Fly-half Carwyn Leggatt-Jones and second row Kai Jones (pictured) made their senior debuts for Scarlets in Friday night’s friendly against Harlequins.
Fresh from their Wales U19s appearance in Paris, the pair came off the bench in the second half at The Stoop with Carwyn nailing a brilliant touchline conversion of Tomi Lewis’s second try of the night.
There was also a return from injury for back-rower Osian Williams, who entered the fray at half-time, while hookers Harry Thomas and Isaac Young, centre Gabe McDonald, wing Jac Davies and lock Dan Gemine all had valuable game time.
On the same night, Llandovery returned to winning ways with a 44-24 Super Rygbi Cymru victory over Pontypool at Church Bank.
Tight-head prop Gabe Hawley started the match for the Drovers, while fellow front-rowers Tom Phillips and Jac Pritchard, fly-half Steff Jac Jones and centre Gryff Watkins came off the bench as second-half replacements.
Watkins also appeared for Cardiff University in their BUCS Championship clash with Bath on Wednesday evening.
SRC action continues this week with Carmarthen Quins taking on leaders Ebbw Vale in a top-of-the-table clash at Eugene Cross Park in front of the S4C cameras on Thursday evening, while Llandovery host Aberavon under the Friday night lights.
