Scarlets U18s signed off their WRU Academies Championship campaign with a convincing seven-try 37-19 victory over Dragons RFC in a third-fourth play-off at Cardiff Arms Park.
After a difficult opening block before Christmas that saw the young Scarlets without a win, the West Walians turned things around with some impressive results and performances in the New Year.
After conceding an early score to Dragons prop Ciaran Beavis, Scarlets proceeded to take a firm grip of this play-off contest.
A smart kick from scrum-half Alfie Luger was gathered by centre Ashton Owen for the first, then moments later fellow centre Owain Llyr Hywel crossed. Flying wing Noah Harries raced over for another before half-time to send the Scarlets in at the interval 15-7 ahead.
In the second half, a break from the dangerous Owen led to a yellow card for the Dragons and a try for hooker Cole Lacey, who pounced from a driving line-out. Full-back Rhys Wyatt then crossed for number five after wing Rhys Jones had done the damage. Fly-half Madoc Evans converted.

Skipper Jac Cloke (pictured) extended the lead, before replacement back-rower Ryan Lanfear showed good strength to power over for try number seven.
Dragons did manage tries from Brogan Leary and Benson Ngoshi, but they were mere consolation.
