Joe Roberts has moved to joint third in the race to become the top try-scorer in the BKT United Rugby Championship this season.
The Wales international centre crossed for his third try in two games when he raced over in last weekend’s defeat to Connacht in Galway, following up his double against Edinburgh in round 12.
Roberts now has six to his name this season and is just one behind Glasgow’s Jamie Dobie and two adrift of Connacht back-rower Sean Jansen, who moved top of the pile courtesy of his brace against the Scarlets at the Dexcom.

Hooker Marnus van der Merwe is now alongside his captain Josh Macleod in third spot in the league’s turnover chart. The Springbok has 12, four behind leader Jeandre Rudolph of the Vodacom Bulls and one behind Edinburgh’s Liam McConnell. Scarlets flanker Jarrod Taylor (8) is also in the top 20.
Elsewhere in the official URC stats, Scarlets forward Max Douglas (7) is the joint second highest for line-out steals with only Vincent Tshituka of the Sharks above him. Marnus van der Merwe is third (85) for line-out throws won.
