Ellis Mee and Joe Roberts among five Scarlets in Wales side to face Boks

Ellis Mee and Joe Roberts are among five Scarlets handed starting spots for Wales’ Quilter Autumn Series finale against South Africa at the Principality Stadium on Saturday (15:10; Live on TNT Sports, discovery+ and S4C).

A late addition to Steve Tandy’s squad, Mee is named on the right wing, with Joe Roberts making up an all-Scarlet midfield pairing with Joe Hawkins.

Blair Murray, as he has done all series, wears the No. 15 jersey.

Taine Plumtree is switched across the back row to blindside flanker.

Tom Rogers, who crossed for a historic hat-trick against the All Blacks last weekend, is ruled out with a hamstring injury and has been released back to the Scarlets.

Among the replacements, Cardiff loose-head prop Danny Southworth is in line to make his Wales debut with an appearance from the bench.

Tandy said: “What we want to see from the boys is the same type of effort and performance as we did last weekend. I think we showed a lot of attacking intent, a lot of toughness in the way we went about a lot of the defensive effort as well, to give the supporters something to shout about.

“The fans on the weekend were electric. I think the boys really responded to how good the support was. When you see the charge, in and around when we score, but also when we’re going deep into the defensive set, when they’re chanting ‘Wales’, it’s just something that’s unbelievable and I’d like to thank them for all the support they’ve given the boys. We’re going into the last game, which we’re all excited about. The players love the fact of playing at Principality Stadium in front of the best support in the world.”
