Wales international hooker Kirby Myhill has joined the Scarlets on a short-term loan.
With South African Marnus van der Merwe currently part of the Springboks squad competing in the Rugby Championship and Ryan Elias sidelined until November following surgery on an elbow injury, Scarlets have signed the 33-year-old as cover.
From Burry Port, Myhill came through the Scarlets Academy ranks and was capped at Wales U18s and U20s level. He went on to play 72 matches for the Scarlets between 2010 and 2016.
After joining Cardiff, he made his Wales debut against the All Blacks in 2021 and has been playing with Miami Sharks in America’s Major League for the last two seasons.
Kirby linked up with the squad at Parc y Scarlets on Monday.
