Scarlets have signed hooker George Roberts from Dragons RFC on a short-term loan.
Both the club’s international hookers Ryan Elias and Marnus van der Merwe suffered head knocks in Friday’s URC win over Zebre and are going through return-to play concussion protocols.
From Wrexham, Roberts signed for the Dragons from English Championship side Doncaster Knights in December and has played four games, including a try-scoring appearance as a replacement against the Scarlets on New Year’s Day.
The 28-year-old came through the ranks at RGC before signing for Doncaster in 2021, where he spent five seasons.
The Scarlets would like to thank the Dragons for their assistance in allowing George to link up with the squad this week.
