Richie Pugh has named his Wales Under 18 squad to tackle Scotland U18 on Friday in the opening game of this year’s Six Nations Festival in Vichy, France.

Pugh’s squad returned from last year’s festival unbeaten and face France and Spain after their opener at Stade Municipal Louis Darragon in this year’s edition.

“Building on the back of our two warm up games we’re excited to go against Scotland and see what this group can do,” said Pugh.

“We don’t know much about Scotland apart from what we saw in the summer with them.

“They are always a strong counter-attacking team who like to play the ball. They are bold in their attack just like the DNA in their national squad.

“They have good athletes who are good in the contact area, making a nuisance of themselves – but the focus has generally be in and around us – what improvements can we make on the back of our games with a slight awareness of what we know the Scotland teams bring.”
