OPEN BOOK – WRU CONSULTATION

In response to ongoing discussions with our stakeholders, community clubs, supporters, sponsors and partners, Scarlets have launched an ‘Open Book’ so that all those connected with our club and rugby region can share their voice as part of the WRU’s Consultation on the future of professional rugby in Wales.

We would be delighted to hear your views on the future rugby landscape in Wales and in particular the role that Scarlets rugby and Parc y Scarlets play within it. All views gathered here will be compiled and forwarded to the WRU at the end of the consultation period (26 September 2025) to provide a full picture from our community and to ensure all voices across our rugby eco-system are heard.

As a pillar of Welsh Rugby, Scarlets anchors elite rugby, talent development and cultural identity across West Wales. Our club is also a driver for community and economic growth with a world-class dedicated rugby and community stadium at Parc y Scarlets. We are part of a heartland rugby region with a rich history and purpose. Scarlets is a significant contributor to the player pathway in Wales.

The WRU consultation and the impact of its proposed ‘optimal solution’ goes far beyond a discussion about the professional game.

As a proven high-performance club, Scarlets holds firm that its success & contribution to our game past, present and future should be safe-guarded and maintained for the good of Welsh rugby.
