On Saturday, Scarlets will face Bristol Bears for the first time in European competitions, the sides were scheduled to meet in round 1 this season, however the match was cancelled (28-0 win awarded to Bristol).
This will be the first competitive match between the sides since the final match at Stradey Park in October 2008 when Scarlets said farewell to the famous old ground with a 27-0 win in the Anglo-Welsh Cup.
The overall record between the two sides is: Played 65, Scarlets wins 35, Bristol wins 27, Draws 3.
Scarlets have won three of their last four matches against Premiership opposition in the pool stage of the Heineken Champions Cup (L1).
Bristol Bears have alternated between wins and defeats in their last seven away games in the Heineken Champions Cup, losing the most recent such match 36-17 against Bordeaux-Bègles in the Last 16 in 2020-21.
Bristol’s Semi Radradra made 17 carries in Round 3 of this season’s Heineken Champions Cup, the joint most of any back (also Garry Ringrose) and the joint second most overall, behind Leicester’s Jasper Wiese (19).
