Ladies host Ospreys at the Parc

Kieran Lewis News

After a brilliant start to the Womens WRU Regional Championship with a 18-5 victory against Blues Ladies at Llandarcy’s Academy of Sport, the Ladies continue their journey when they host the Ospreys at Parc y Scarlets on Friday 16th of August (KO 19:00).

The starting team sees three changes from the side that took on the Blues. Molly James comes into the second row in place of Nia Gwyther who moves to the replacements bench; Mari Jenkins replaces her sister Rhian at 13 who is now also on the bench. Our captain Jodie Evans returns to the side with Lowri Williams switching to full-back in place of last week’s opening try scorer Delun Allcock, who picked up a slight knock in the Blues win.

Daryl Morgan, Ladies head coach said: “We’re under no illusion of how tough the game against the Ospreys is going to be. They are a quality outfit with Welsh international players throughout the squad.

“But the result and more importantly the performance of the whole squad in last weekend’s win against the Blues has really given a massive confidence boost to everyone.

“It’s going to be a massive challenge, but the players have prepared exceptionally well this week and we’re more than ready to take that challenge on.”
