Scarlets Community Foundation recently held a series of Disability Six Nations events, with more than 250 children aged between six and 16 taking part.

To make the events as accessible as possible so that learners from a wide range of schools could attend, the Foundation hosted them across the region, in Aberystwyth University, Pembrokeshire College and Coleg Sir Gâr in Llanelli.

Pupils took part in fun games, tried out basic rugby skills, and most importantly, enjoyed social interaction with other children from different schools.

Scarlets Community Foundation Manager Paul Fisher said: “It was fantastic to see so many smiles throughout the sessions.

“The support staff across all three events were outstanding and played a huge role in making the days such a success.

“These events would not be possible without collaboration and support from a number of partners. A big thank you to Ceredigion Actif, the students from Coleg Sir Gâr and Amman Valley, the UWTSD placement interns and Seemed Medical for providing medical cover.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make these events so positive and memorable for the pupils involved.”
