Scarlets and Castore unveil new home jersey

Gwenan News

Scarlets and new kit partner Castore are proud to unveil our home jersey for the 2022-23 150-year anniversary season.

The jersey will be available online from Tuesday, August 16 and in our Parc y Scarlets store on August 26.

The playing jersey is made from newly-developed technical fabrics that have been considered for on-field robustness and comfort, with both the jersey and shorts made of 90% recycled polyester.

Made in Europe, the kit has been tested via new rugby specific methods to exceed the strength of previous rugby jerseys, harnessing Castore’s ethos of ‘Better Never Stops’. The front body is made from a robust ripstop fabric developed to withstand pulls on-field, while the sleeves and back panels are made from a soft scuba fabric, designed to hug and fit to the contours of the player’s body. Silicone grip is featured on the outside of the jersey to help with grip of the ball during play.

Once again, we are grateful for the continued support of Oil 4 Wales who will be our Men’s front of shirt sponsor for a third successive campaign. Other partners on the kit are Owens Group, Swansea University, Aberystwyth University, Castell Howell, CK Foodstores,  Coleg Sir Gâr,  Dyfed Steels, Gravells, HST Marine, John Francis Estate Agents, LBS, Lloyd & Gravell, Pencnwc Holiday Park, TAD Builders and Taylor Facilities Management. The Scarlets Ladies shirt will be sponsored by First Choice Utilities and Swansea University while the Scarlets age grade shirts will be sponsored by LHP Chartered Accountants.

Our alternate kit will be unveiled before our pre-season game against Bristol Bears on September 2, with a third kit available to buy in early September.
