Scarlets Community Foundation receives Welsh Enterprise Award

Scarlets Community Foundation has been named the Best Youth Sports Development Organisation in the SME News Welsh Enterprise Awards.

Now in its ninth year, SME News recognises trailblazers across Wales in a host of categories.

The Scarlets Community Foundation was selected for its outstanding commitment to youth development and impactful community programmes that promote sports and well-being.

The Foundation, the community arm of Scarlets Rugby, is dedicated to promoting youth sports development and fostering community engagement through rugby and has developed more than 100 youth sports programmes in the last five years, engaging with well over 5,000 young athletes annually through community initiatives.

With years of experience in nurturing young talent, the Foundation offers various programmes aimed at enhancing skills, teamwork and physical fitness with a commitment to community outreach, providing opportunities for underprivileged youth to engage in sports. 

Scarlets Community Foundation manager Paul Fisher said:  “We are immensely grateful for this recognition. A big thanks to our dedicated staff, partners and the community for believing in us and supporting what we do across the Scarlets region.”
