Seven Scarlets have been named in Wales’ match-day squad to take on the Flying Fijians in the opening round of the Nations Championship on Saturday (14:10; ITV & S4C).
Dewi Lake captains Wales in what is an away fixture taking place at Cardiff City Stadium – Fiji’s chosen home venue for the game.
Blair Murray, who made his Test debut against Fiji in November 2024, is selected at full-back with Joe Hawkins and Eddie James continuing their midfield partnership for the sixth successive game for Wales.
There are four Scarlets on the bench – hooker Ryan Elias, back-rower Taine Plumtree, fly-half Sam Costelow and wing Ellis Mee.
Wales head coach Steve Tandy said: “It’s been awesome getting back into camp and getting ready for games. We want to keep building on the Six Nations and from last weekend as well. We’ve created a lot of momentum and we’re looking to hit the ground running on Saturday.”
On playing Fiji in Cardiff, Tandy added: “We love to be in Wales playing games. Our support means a hell of a lot to us and fans are incredible how they get behind the team. We’re excited to be in Cardiff to start the Nations Championship.”
Tickets are available via Cardiff City Stadium Events and Ticketmaster.
