Scarlets U18s will make a welcome return to action in the WRU Regional Age-Grade competition on Sunday when they head to North Wales to take on RGC at Colwyn Bay.

Head coach Euros Evans and his coaching team have named an extended squad of 47 players for the forthcoming games against RGC, Cardiff, Dragons and Ospreys. Back-rower Luca Giannini will skipper the side.

The matches will be viewed by the WRU as Identification fixtures for Wales U18s who will be selecting an extended training squad in preparation for the International Six Nations tournament that will be held over the Easter period.

Head coach Euros Evans said: “It is great to have the boys back preparing for rugby again and there is going to be a lot at stake in these matches. As well as Wales U18s selection, the Scarlets will also be keeping a close eye on performances over the coming weeks with a view of recruiting a new intake of academy players.”
