Scarlets are delighted to announce the signing of DHL Stormers flanker Jarrod Taylor, who has linked up with the squad with immediate effect.

The 22-year-old met up with his new team-mates at Parc y Scarlets on Monday morning having signed a contract for the remainder of the current season and beyond.

A former South African Schools international, Taylor has been playing Currie Cup rugby for Western Province, scoring four tries in six starts.

Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel said: β€œJarrod is a player who has impressed us with his performances in the Currie Cup and has an outstanding pedigree in South African schools rugby.

β€œHe is an abrasive player, with and without the ball and is strong in the contact area. He will add to the young group of back-rowers we already have at the club.”
