Ten Scarlets have been named in a a 45-strong Wales U20s extended training squad for a warm-up game against Cardiff RFC at Cardiff Arms Park (Friday, January 16, KO 5.30pm).
The match provides a final opportunity for players to put their hands up for selection for Wales’ Six Nations squad which will be confirmed the following week.
Props Hudson Nevin, Yestyn Cook and Jac Pritchard, hooker Keanu Evans, second row Will Evans, back-rowers Osian Williams, Dom Kossuth (pictured) and Joe Denman, as well as fly-halves Carwyn Leggatt-Jones and Steff Jac Jones have all been included in Richard Whiffin’s group for the game.
“It’s a great opportunity for us to get time in with the boys in preparation before we begin the Six Nations,” said Whiffin. “It’s an opportunity for us to connect with the players and it’s an opportunity for those guys to put their hands up before we whittle the squad down to 36/37 for the Six Nations.”
