Scarlets can confirm that Tom Rogers will be leaving the club at the end of the 2025-26 season to join Ospreys.

A product of the Scarlets Academy, Tom has made 88 appearances for the club since making his senior debut in 2017 and has gone on to earn international honours with 13 caps for Wales – a reflection of his development and impact in a Scarlets jersey.

Scarlets Interim Director of Rugby Nigel Davies said: “Tom’s journey is a great example of what this club stands for; coming through our pathway, developing as a player and going on to represent your country.

“We are obviously disappointed to see him move on, there was a contract offer for him to stay with us and continue his career with Scarlets, but we understand his decision to look for a new challenge.

“He has made a strong contribution to the Scarlets over a number of seasons and has always represented the club with professionalism and pride. We thank him for that and wish him every success for the future.

“Our focus now is very clear. We are building a squad that is aligned, competitive and capable of driving this club forward.

“We have real strength and depth developing across the back three, with a group that combines international quality with exciting young talent coming through our pathway. That gives us a strong platform to build from.

“This is about evolution and growth. We are committed to developing our own players, strengthening key areas of the squad and creating an environment that will deliver success. There is real momentum building here and we are excited about what lies ahead.”

Tom Rogers said: “I have loved my time at the Scarlets. It has been almost 10 years since I came through the Academy and it’s been a privilege to play so many games and alongside so many great players. A big thanks to all the players, staff, sponsors and of course, the fans who have shown such amazing support, home and away, during my time here.

“We have four big matches left this season and everyone’s focus is on finishing the URC as strongly as we can.”

Tom will remain fully committed to the Scarlets for the remainder of the season as the squad continues to push towards its objectives.

Further updates on squad developments will be announced in due course.
