Fans favourite Finau returns to Llanelli

A Stradey Park fans favourite returned to Llanelli this week.

Salesi Finau played 203 matches for the Scarlets between his debut in 1998 and his departure in 2005, scoring 42 tries.

A Tongan international centre or wing, he played in some memorable European matches, earning himself a reputation as a fearsome carrier and bone-rattling defender.

Now living in Australia, Salesi visited Parc y Scarlets, where he met up with some ex-team-mates in Rupert Moon, Garan Evans, Phil John and current head coach Dwayne Peel along with former coach Gareth Jenkins and team manager Anthony Buchanan.

He is pictured signing his photo on the Parc y Scarlets legends wall, which showcases players who have made more than a century of appearances in a Scarlets jersey.
