Scarlets Cup Finals Day proved another huge success with five matches taking place at Parc y Scarlets to decide the best junior teams in the region.

The combined Llandeilo/Llandovery U16s side were the opening winners of the day, seeing off the challenge of Haverfordwest 47-3.

Carmarthen Quins U12s put on a show in game two, running in eight tries against a plucky Fishguard side to seal a 54-14 victory.

It was nip and tuck for long periods in the U13s final between Newcastle Emlyn and Aberystwyth, but it was Emlyn who came out on top in an entertaining clash 36-20.

The U14s final saw Carmarthen Quins take on Tenby, with the Quins proving too strong, winning 43-7 to secure a second trophy of the day for the club.

The final match saw Amman United take on Aberystwyth at U15s level and it was Aber who prevented a Carmarthenshire clean sweep, winning a tight contest 12-7.

The trophies were presented by Scarlets players Shaun Evans, Ioan Nicholas and Aaron Shingler.

A big thanks to all the volunteers, officials and supporters who helped make the day such a success; all the players and coaches who took part and to the Scarlets Cup sponsor and official photographer Riley Sports.
