Kids Round a Superhero smash at the Parc!

The URC Kids Round proved another smashing success on a sun-kissed final home game of the season at Parc y Scarlets.

This year, we added a Superhero theme, with more kids and more jobs to do and they all carried out their roles brilliantly.

First of all, nine-year-old Jac came in to help out kit manager Jamesy put out the kit and pump up some balls ready for the big game. Jac even popped in to give Jim from Leinster a helping hand in the away changing room.

Our guest groundsman for the day was six-year-old Elis, who did an expert job of painting the lines, putting out the post pads, corner flags and the URC entry mat. Elis even took the field at half-time with a fork in hand to help our groundstaff Scott and Xhosa ensure the surface was in tip-top condition for the second half.

An hour before kick-off, seven-year-old Harri did the honours of the coin toss (chocolate coin of course!), along with referee Mike Adamson and the two captains Josh Macleod and Ronan Kelleher, while upstairs in the Quinnell and Phil Bennett Lounges, older sister Eleri was our hostess, welcoming hospitality guests for their pre-match meals and refreshments.

Over in the FSG Supporters Arena, Aled, Hope and Jessica joined our Ambassadors team and our guest Superheroes like Batman, Supergirl and Spiderman to hand out flags and greet supporters, while Layla-Luna and Leo-Jack linked up with the community coaches to make sure all our mini and junior teams enjoyed the match-day tag rugby and flag-bearing before kick-off.

Eleven-year-old Cai did a fantastic job alongside Luke, our voice of the Scarlets, with the PA announcements, while eight-year-old Tomos captured the day’s events as part of our social media team, taking photos of the player signings in the shop and the warm-ups and run-outs on the pitch.

Meanwhile, over in the ticket office, nine-year-old Riley was on the desk helping Alisha and Ann to sell tickets for the big game.

Once again, an amazing takeover from our kids to support the championing of the next generation in the United Rugby Championship.
