Parc y Scarlets to host key Women’s World Cup football qualifier

Parc y Scarlets will host Cymru’s key FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Round match against France on Friday, April 8 (KO time TBC).

Cymru go into the match against the group leaders in second place, with four wins, one draw and one loss in the group so far. The match will be the third time Gemma Grainger’s side will play in Parc y Scarlets for the campaign and will look to build on last November’s attendance where more than 4,000 fans saw Cymru beat Greece 5-0.

“To come back to Llanelli is exciting. The last home game there against Greece was incredible because of how the fans came out and supported us, even with the horrendous weather that night. We want to make sure that we build on the attendance records that have been set so far this campaign and that we continue to build on the growing fan base that plays such a huge part in our success as a team.” said Grainger

Tickets will go on sale for the match on Wednesday, February 16 at faw.cymru/tickets, with discounts available for grassroots clubs and group bookings.
