Back-rowers Tiaan Sparrow and Ciara Taylor swooped for an awards double at the Scarlets U18s awards evening at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday.
It was the first time that the men’s and women’s team had joined together for their awards with more than 180 people attending the evening at the Quinnell Lounge.
Sparrow, who skippered the U18s to the Regional Age-Grade Championship title, was named Players’ Player and Coaches’ Player of the Year.
Back-rower Dom Kossuth was named Men’s U18s Forward of the Year and fly-half Carwyn Jones Back of the Year.
The Man of Steel award, given to the player for commitment, dedication to training and the team, was prop Jac Pritchard.
There was a double winner in the women’s awards with powerful No. 8 Ciara Taylor named Coaches’ and Players’ Player of the Year.
Milly Geering was named Forward of the Year and skipper Rhiannon Griffin Back of the Year. The Woman of Steel award went to Mia-Haf Bowen.
