With no Super Rygbi Cymru action this week, 15 members of the Scarlets Academy were part of a Welsh Rugby Union alignment camp at the Vale Resort.

There was a big crowd at Stradey to watch the Championship derby between Llangennech and Llanelli Wanderers.

Wing Callum Woolley was part of the Llangennech side that triumphed 34-0. Loose-head prop Tom Phillips impressed at scrum-time for the Wanderers, winning a number of penalties at the set piece.

Fly-half Steff Jac Jones started for Aberystwyth in their Championship clash with Kenfig Hill. Steff kicked three conversions in a 27-26 defeat.

SRC resumes this week with a table-topping clash between Ebbw Vale and Llandovery at Eugene Cross Park in front of the S4C cameras on Thursday night. Carmarthen Quins host defending champions Newport on Saturday.
