Around 120 participants enjoyed a packed morning of rugby as part of the Scarlets’ Community Foundation’s opening 2025 Disability Six Nations Festival at Parc y Scarlets.

The event, held in the stadium’s indoor FSG Arena, was the first of three taking place around the region this month with festivals to come in Pembrokeshire College on Thursday, March 13 and Aberystwyth University on Thursday, March 20.

Pupils from Maes y Gwendraeth, Heol Goffa, Ysgol y Strade, QE High, Ysgol Gymraeg Llangennech, Ysgol y Bedol, Bryngwyn, Coedcae, Ysgol y Felin and Ysgol Dyffryn Taf enjoyed the event, which saw Scarlets skipper Josh Macleod and fellow players Harri O’Connor, Josh Morse, Isaac Young and Ben Williams take part in a question and answer session as well have photos and sign autographs.

A big thanks to Derek Quinnell, Scarlets President and Honorary Patron of the Phil Bennett Foundation, whose funding has helped the Community team employ an inclusion officer to deliver events like these across the region; Llanelli Town Council Mayor, Cllr JG Prosser and Gareth Mills-Bennett of Disability Sport Wales for attending.

Thanks also to the Carmarthenshire-based WRU hub officers for helping deliver the sessions.
