Eight Scarlets have been included in the Wales U18s men’s and women’s squads for the forthcoming Six Nations U18s festivals.

Coleg Sir Gar and Scarlets U18s captain Harry Thomas (pictured) and Ysgol y Strade back-rower Keanu Evans have been named in the men’s squad for a festival which runs from April 8-16 and will feature three match-days hosted at Energia Park, Dublin. Wales will face Italy, Ireland and Scotland in three standalone 70-minute fixtures, with every player looking to start at least one game with rolling substitutions throughout.

There are six members of the Scarlets Women’s U18s squad who played in the recent regional championship in the women’s 28-strong squad.

Scarlets co-captain Maisie Davies is joined by fellow forwards Cadi Lois-Davies and Milly Summer, along with backs Carys Hughes and sisters Bronwen and Rhiannon Griffin.

Returning for a second year, the 2023 Six Nations U18 Women’s Festival will be held at England’s Wellington College, starting on April 7 and running until April 15, including three match days. Teams will each play four 35-minute fixtures across the first two match days followed by one full 70-minute fixture on the final match day. Wales will face England and Scotland on day one, France and Italy in round two and complete the competition against Ireland.

Every game will be live streamed across both festivals.
