Scarlets U16s East and West squads enjoyed encouraging performances in warm-up matches against the Ospreys ahead of this year’s WRU Regional Age-Grade Championship.

Scarlets East U16s played against Ospreys West U16s at The Gnoll, while the Scarlets West U16s entertained Ospreys East U16s at Tenby RFC.

These fixtures were played to assist with final squad selections and as a ‘hit out’ before the regional fixtures kick-off on April 6.

The squads have been following development programmes since January and both matches were over three 25-minute periods to ensure that all players had adequate game time before finalising the final squad.

Both Scarlets sides came out on top, the East winning 27-7 and West 27-14.
