Scarlets fans favourite Rob Evans will be running out for the Barbarians in Saturday’s Phil Bennett Memorial Match against his former club.
The Pembrokeshire prop has been a part of the Baabaas’ tour party this month, featuring in the squads that took on Samoa in Brive and Bristol Bears last weekend.
Between 2013 and 2022 Evans played 156 games in a Scarlets jersey and was part of the side that won the PRO12 title in Dublin in 2017.
A Grand Slam winner, he played 39 Tests for Wales.
Containing a squad made of Australia A and Japanese talent, the Barbarians have been in impressive form in recent weeks, running in a feast of tries in victories over Northampton Saints (48-12) and Bristol (52-26).
Evans won’t be the only ex-Scarlet on show with Wales international back-rower Aaron Shingler also having a run out in the black and white hoops.
