Today marks the launch of Scarlets’ 2026-27 home kit, produced by kit manufacturer VX3.
The newest home kit in Scarlets’ long and storied history of more than 150 years has been inspired by one of the first ever jerseys worn by the club, back in the early 1880s before the all-Scarlet jersey was adopted, and a nod to the special edition shirt from 2006.
For those of you not old enough to remember the 2006 special edition jersey, the inspiration is the historic red and chocolate quarters jersey.
The 2026-27 design features two-tone Scarlet quarters with navy trim detail on the sleeves as well as the club’s motto Yma o Hyd.
Gavin Griffiths Group, Castell Howell, Cadog Homecare, CK Supermarkets, Dyfed Steels, Gravells, LBS, LHP Accountants, Lloyd & Gravell, Morgan Marine, Purus, TAD Builders and Vaughan Construction have each renewed their agreements with the Scarlets, reaffirming their commitment to the club and its ambitions both on and off the field, and will feature on the club’s three playing kits in 2026-27.
Some of the familiar names that represented the Scarlets twenty years ago include Irish international and current Ireland coach Simon Easterby, All Black Regan King, fan favourite and record points scorer Stephen Jones, former captain and British & Irish Lion Matthew Rees and Scarlets’ very own head coach Dwayne Peel.
Two decades ago, the Scarlets enjoyed a successful season finishing fourth in the Celtic League as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Heineken Cup after securing victories in all six pool games, including an epic win in Toulouse and then a memorable quarter-final triumph over Munster at Stradey Park.
