Budding rugby stars from clubs in the Scarlets region enjoyed an amazing morning training with the All Blacks ahead of their Autumn test against Wales.
The tourists kindly allowed the Scarlets Community team to invite clubs to Old Penarthians RFC – where New Zealand were training before the Principality Stadium showdown – and Llanelli Wanderers, Kidwelly, Nantgaredig and St Clears loved every minute.
As well as being put through their paces by the likes of Brad Weber, Hoskins Sotutu, and Nepo Laulala, the youngsters also had a chance for autographs and pictures with the players – including skipper Sam Whitelock and star full-back Beauden Barrett – before heading back to Llanelli.
Scarlets Head of Marketing & Technology Trudy Waters said: “It was a fantastic morning for the kids, parents and coaches meeting the All Blacks and we are grateful to the New Zealand squad for allowing this to happen. It was an awesome experience for everyone and a day I’m sure the children won’t forget.”
