Scarlets U17s will take on their Ospreys counterparts at New Dock Stars RFC on Wednesday evening (19:15 ko).

Llandeilo back-rower Hefin Hughes will lead a match-day squad containing players from St Clears, Felinfoel, Crymych, Amman Utd, Tenby, Penybanc, Newcastle Emlyn, Furnace, Aberystwyth, Narberth, Tumble, Porthcawl and Haverfordwest.

U17s head coach Alun Jones said: “We’ve had an extremely productive and positive block with our group of U17s players over the last few weeks.

“Most of these players have previously been involved in the RAG pathway, but we have also included players who have been put forward by schools and colleges as individuals who have shown considerable improvement and potential this year.

“It is really important for the region to develop and expose as many players as possible to the highest standard.

“This game represents the next step in the journey for these young men and we are really excited to see them perform.”
