If you were once the proud owner of a Nokia 3310, prolific on MSN Messenger and headed to Theatr Elli to watch The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, there’s every chance you’ll remember the original jerseys that inspired the 2026-27 away kit!
In a year when our very own Fletcher Anderson was born, Arsenal beat Chelsea 2-0 at the Millennium Stadium in the FA Cup, and Brazil won the FIFA World Cup, the Scarlets missed out on a place in the Heineken Cup final having lost in dramatic fashion to Leicester Tigers in Nottingham.
As Avril Lavigne reminded us, it was Complicated!
If you haven’t already guessed, this coming season’s away kit is inspired by 2002!
The away kits of the early 00s – white with red and navy trim (2001-02) and navy with red and grey trim (2002-03) – come together beautifully in the 2026 edition.
VX3’s away kit design is a striking blend of navy shoulders, a thick red band across the chest emblazoned with the Gavin Griffiths Group logo, and a white torso. Perfect to pair with your favourite pair of jeans to go straight from the stands to the pub.
The playing jersey, which is already a strong favourite among the squad, will be accompanied by navy shorts and navy, red and white socks.
Gavin Griffiths Group, Castell Howell, Cadog Homecare, CK Supermarkets, Dyfed Steels, Gravells, LBS, LHP Accountants, Lloyd & Gravell, Morgan Marine, Purus, TAD Builders and Vaughan Construction have each renewed their agreements with the Scarlets, reaffirming their commitment to the club and its ambitions both on and off the field, and will feature on the club’s three playing kits in 2026-27.
The kit is available to purchase online and in store alongside the 2026-27 home kit, which was launched a few weeks ago.
Keep your eyes peeled for the launch of the third kit, which will feature prominently during Scarlets’ EPCR Challenge Cup campaign.
The new season’s training wear range is also available online and in store.
