It’s time to vote for the Scarlets Player of the Month, in association with Vaughan Construction.

The award, the first of the season, covers the opening six matches of the campaign – the Welsh derbies against Cardiff and Dragons, the comeback win over Benetton, the EPCR Challenge Cup victory over Newcastle Red Bulls and the spirited performances out in South Africa against the Stormers and Bulls.

Scarlets have crossed for some stunning tries along the way, with a number of individuals standing out.

Here are the four nominees for September/October.

Macs Page

The Pembrokeshire flyer has hit the ground running this season, crossing for five tries in five competitive matches, including a stunning solo effort against the Dragons and providing a number of assists along the way. His headline-grabbing performances on the wing has earned the 21-year-old a deserved call-up to Wales’ Nations Championship squad this November.

Blair Murray

Another who has been back to his dazzling best with his counter-attacking from deep. Player of the match against Benetton, sparking the resurgence with a length-of-the-field interception try, he is in the top five of the URC charts for metres gained and defenders beaten, despite sitting out the last two rounds of the competition. His side-stepping run against Newcastle was a highlights reel in itself.

Joe Roberts

Scarlets’ standout performer from the South African tour, Roberts has been in sensational form in the No. 13 jersey – with and without the ball. Crossed for a brilliant hat-trick against the Stormers and added another try against the Bulls to take his season’s tally to five – joint top in the URC. Can count himself unfortunate not to be in Wales’ squad this autumn.

Josh Macleod

The skipper has been leading from the front and boasts the highest tackle count in the URC and is joint third for turnovers won. Was superb in the win over Newcastle with his defensive and breakdown work and also produced two tireless displays on South African soil, picking up a try against the Stormers in round four.
