Ellis was catapulted from obscurity into Welsh rugby spotlight when he was selected for Wales’ 2025 Six Nations squad, making an impressive debut against Ireland. Able to play full-back or wing, he linked up with the Scarlets in the summer of 2024 from English Championship side Nottingham and ended the campaign named the club’s Breakthrough Player of the Season. Ellis has been combining his rugby career with studies at Nottingham Trent University.
